A Symphony of Quality

The Bravura Mattress is a beautifully made pocket spring mattress. Purpose built for adjustable beds, but equally at home on a conventional bed base.

Plush comfort layers made from Soy Visco Foam adds a level of cooling to the mattress with its open cell design. Australia made 200GSM fibre is used between the comfort layer and the quilting to add breathability and to finish the mattress elegantly.

ProBox 90mm boxed edges mean getting in and out of bed is easy and over time the springs are protected and also there is no roll out on the mattress.

Australian Made in Melbourne, this mattress is a perfect fit for those who enjoy life's luxuries and specifically those with an existing adjustable bed, or those looking for  new solution.

Mattress Support

The key to finding a perfect sleep starts with a mattress that offers you the correct support. From memory foam to inner-spring, firm to ultra-plush, it's the system foundation built at the core of the mattress that offers you the best support. When your body falls into deep sleep, up to 5 times a night, every muscle in your body relaxes making the support system of your mattress the most important thing that is cradling your body.

It is estimated that the average person spends around 3,000 hours a year in bed. Some of us a lot more. This guide walks you through the options, so you get what you need for a great night's sleep.

Low Partner Disturbance Mattresses

Also known as Pocket Spring and Pocket Coil, Low Partner Disturbance mattresses deliver an undisturbed night’s sleep by reducing mattress movement. The coils in a pocket spring bed work independently to minimise disturbance caused by you and your partner's movement; eliminating the ‘trampoline effect’ of inter-connected spring systems. Each coil conforms to the unique contour of your body by instantly responding to your movement and shape as you sleep.

Comfort Layer Mattresses

The comfort layer of a mattress contains additional padding sewn into the top of the mattress. The comfort layer, or pillow top as it may be known, is effective at reducing pressure points, relieving pain and fostering better sleep. It can be made op of a host of different foams, latex, cotton, wool and other fibres. This layer can be either hand sewn and tufted with what looks like a cotton button on the top of a mattress, or these can machine sewn in which case the foams are glued instead of using the tufting.

How to Test a Mattress in Store

Take your time: Most people need seven to nine hours sleep a night. A couple of minutes on your back won't come close to replicating this experience. Lie down for as long as you need – though you probably shouldn't spend the night.

Move about: Roll over, sit up, get in and out of the bed. Ease of movement contributes to comfort. It will take more effort if the mattress is too soft and will feel uncomfortable on your hips and shoulders if it's too firm.

Sleep on slats (or a base): Make sure the bed base in the shop is similar to the one you have at home. If you have fixed slats or a hard surface, a soft mattress will feel very different on top of that, rather than the ensemble base it's resting on in the shop.

Bring your partner: If you share a bed with someone regularly or every night, bring them along and ask them to lie in the bed and move around. Be aware of how the bed moves on your side when your partner moves.

Don't shop tired: All the mattresses will feel great if you're already sleepy! Like a biscuit when you're hungry

Ask the salesperson to leave: While they may be friendly and helpful, few of us are able to really relax when someone is hovering around.

Ask questions about the display model: The mattress you test in store could have been on display for two days, two weeks or even two months, with hundreds of customers potentially trying them out over that period. This will affect sag, firmness, support and so on.

Ask if there's a comfort guarantee: Most manufacturers don't offer a guarantee on comfort, so you probably can't return it if it doesn't feel right. That said, there are a few brands that do, so it always pays to ask.
